About the Band

From an idea conceived in the summer of 1993, Doncaster Concert Band (DCB) played its inaugural concert in January 1994.

Over recent years the Band has developed into a successful group of talented musicians performing regularly at outdoor venues and concert halls, mostly around the community of Doncaster.

Players in the band come from from all walks of life and join together to rehearse weekly and perform a variety of music to suit all occasions.

The band is a registered charity (Charity no. 1039772) and supports many local and national causes from its concert proceeds.

We are very fortunate to be led by Karen Latimer, a conductor who has a clear vision about the direction of the band. She aims to build on its extensive repertoire whilst achieving the highest standard of performance.

If you are interested in finding out more about the band, please contact us or speak to our members for contact details.

We often perform in open air settings or large arenas and for this we have the invaluable support of Multitrack Sound Services. Thank you to Gary Lingard and his family. We greatly appreciate your ongoing support.
